Alahan Monastery, A Magnificent Old Church
Last year I joined a group of interesting people from Silifke, Turkey who were preparing for a day trip to far top of Taurus Mountains, to see one of the most amazing historical churches of this area. Its called "Alahan Monastery"On a beautiful spring morning, after 2 hours bus journey we arrived at a spectacular point in a high pine forest somewhere between Mut and Karaman. We got off the buses and started to climb.. it took about 1 hour to reach the monastery..
